Lea and Adam Taylor, y’all! This wedding was so special for many reasons. It was the first time I had been back to Stone River since my own wedding there in 2018 and it brought back all the feels. It is a beautiful venue on the river and I will jump at the chance to photograph a wedding there whenever asked!
Earlier in the week, Lea called me to make sure we had a rain plan set in place. I told her what my plan was but that hopefully we wouldn’t have to use it and we DIDN’T!!! As soon as the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle, it started to lightly rain. Lea and her dad had their moment together before he walked his sweet daughter to marry her forever. There’s something about a dad and his little girl. I remember being in that exact spot with my dad. We were both emotional and anxious but in the best way. Lea and Adam’s ceremony was cut short because of the rain but I thought it was perfect. Once the “I do’s” were said and the bride and groom kissed, the rain started letting up. We were able to do the bridal party, family AND husband and wife portraits outside! Lea and Adam are SO much fun to be around and made portrait time a blast.
I usually have a favorite part of every wedding day. On this day, it was the father of the bride’s speech. Once first dances and cake cutting was out of the way, it was time for all the speeches. Lea’s dad was the last to go and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. He explained that he had always told Lea growing up that if every child in the world was lined up and he had to pick one out, he’d choose her. Every. Time. He continued on to say that if every man in the world was lined up and he had to pick one for Lea, he’d always pick Adam. These two are so special and it was an incredible wedding to kick 2020 off with! Congrats to Mr. + Mrs. Taylor!
