Wow, this day had me speechless. Where do I even start? Katie and I grew up together; our moms are best friends and our “thing” was trick-or-treating together every Halloween. Check out their engagement session blog for our most legit costume. When she messaged me about doing her wedding, I just couldn’t wait! I met Jordan at their engagement session but I could see then that they were a special couple. Well y’all, they are incredibly special. When I walked into Katie’s hotel room on their wedding day, she was just excited and so calm and we were running early on their timeline, which never happens! We made our way down to the river for Katie and Jordan’s first look and I can honestly say, this was the most emotional first look I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. As I was walking Katie toward Jordan, she busted into tears. The pure excitement of seeing her groom on their wedding day was so overwhelming and we stopped for a moment. When she tapped on Jordan’s shoulder, he turned around and she took his breath away. That was the start of such a great day! We moved on to bridal party and family portraits and onto the ceremony. Katie had told me that after the ceremony, she wanted to surprise Jordan with a song she wrote for him. The incredible team of vendors the Andersons had hired came together to make this happen and it was the most magical moment I’ve witnessed! Katie is so talented and watching Jordan so in love with her as she sang to him was my favorite part of the day! I have many favorites from this day but that one takes the cake!! Katie and Jordan, I wish you two the happiest journey as you start a life in New York together and hope to get you back in front of my camera soon! Congrats to the Andersons!!
